The Wise Old Woman.
The Wise Old Woman is novel stories it mean it teach a lesson. This story setting was in Japanese in the time of king. At this time the lord of Japan have a rule that when somebody is old you have to send the old person in the mountain and let him or her died. There is a farmer that has a mother that very old she is ready to send to the back of the mountain, but the farmer does not want to send her mother to the mountain. The framer have a idea that the mother can hide in the basement. She hides there for 2 years, but then a new lord come to conquer his name is Lord Higa. Then the warrior comes to the village and say:” if you don’t want your farm to be conquer you have to do this offer of Lord Higa”. The first offer is to make ropes of ashes, the second offer is run a single thread through the length of a crooked log, the third is to make a drum sound without beaten it. The farmer the mother and the mother do the impossible offer easily. Then for the next few years Lord Higa still challenging the impossible offer, but the mother still can solve the offer easily.
I have chosen a theme for this story is old people have lot of experience that they can help you. I chose this theme because the story mostly talks about the story that the mother can solve the impossible offer of the Lord Higa.
In the story, there are three offers I will chosen the third one. Lord Hagi offer is to make the drum sound without beaten it. The mother takes the bumblebee and put it in the drum to make it make the sound of the drum. After this answer, the mother says something like” this is the easiest in the all of them” that meaning that she already know how to do it. It like that she already has experience about how to make a drum sound without beaten it.
My second argument is the first offer of the Lord Hagi, the mother solve this offer by just a simple supplies that means she can have a lot of experience with the simple stuff to make a good stuff.
I think this story teach us that the old people can help us when are struggle in something that we can do it alone. Like in the story, she has solve the offer easily with her experience, and also help the village do not get conquer by the lord Higa.
I recommend this story to the kid that as the good always wins in the final, because the kid always wants to be a good person and the winning person. Just like when we watch power ranger they always to be the good person and win the bad person so I recommend this story to the kid always want the good win the bad.
